Tetarteron (Electrum, 18 mm, 4.00 g, 6 h), Constantinopolis, circa 1053-1055. +IҺS XRS RЄX RЄGNANTIm Bust of Christ facing with cross-nimbus, wearing tunic and himation, his right hand raised and holding book of Gospels in his left. Rev. +CωҺSTAҺTҺ OIL Crowned bust of Constantine IX facing, holding labarum in his right hand and globus cruciger in his left. DOC 6. SB 1833. Struck from slightly worn dies, otherwise, very fine.
