Description

★ An interesting spelling error ★

Constantine I, as Caesar, 306-309. Follis (Silvered bronze, 25 mm, 9.08 g, 12 h), Alexandria, 306-307. FL VAL CONTANTINVS (sic!) NOB CAES Laureate head of Constantine I to right. Rev. PERPET-V-ITAS AVGG / Δ / S - P / ALE Roma seated left on throne, holding Victory on globe in her right hand and scepter in her left; at her side, shield. RIC 63 and note 1. An extremely rare variety with an interesting spelling error on the obverse. Somewhat rough, otherwise, about extremely fine.
