This short-lived Antonian legion was most likely disbanded by Octavian after the Battle of Actium. It is not to be confused with Legio XIV Gemina, which was raised by Julius Casar during the early stages of the Gallic Wars, and which later defeated Queen Boudica under Nero in 61 AD.
