Hadrian, 117-138. As (Copper, 27 mm, 14.29 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 130-133. HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P Laureate and draped bust of Hadrian to right, seen from behind. Rev. ADVENTVI AVG MAVRETANIAE / S C Hadrian standing front, head to right, holding scroll in his left hand and raising his right in gesture of address toward Mauretania, standing front, head to left, wearing elephant headdress, sacrificing out of patera with her right hand over lighted altar and holding vexillum in her left; at foot of altar, bull. BMC 1667. Cohen 67. RIC 1784. Rare. Some corrosion, otherwise, very fine.
