Description

Hadrian, 117-138. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.32 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 130. HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P Laureate head of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery on his right shoulder. Rev. FORTVNAE REDVCI Fortuna, veiled, seated to left on throne, holding rudder in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left. BMC p. 322, note 648 = Cohen 783. RIC 1407. Rare. Light marks, otherwise, very fine.
