Hadrian, 117-138. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.36 g, 7 h), Rome, August-December 117. IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right. Rev. P M TR P COS DES II / PIE-TAS Pietas, veiled, standing front, head to left, raising her right hand. BMC -. Cohen 1027. RIC 92. Extremely rare, one of a very few known examples. Nicely toned and with a beautiful bust type. Some light marks, otherwise, very fine.
