EGYPT. Alexandria. Hadrian, 117-138. Tetradrachm (Billon, 23 mm, 12.60 g, 12 h), RY 3 = 118/9. ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙϹ ΤΡΑΙΑΝ[ΟϹ] ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ ϹЄΒ Laureate head of Hadrian to right; to right, star. Rev. L - Γ Bust of Nilus to right, crowned with taenia and lotus-buds and with slight drapery on his left and cornucopiae on his right shoulder. Dattari (Savio) 1419 = RPC III online 5156.5 ( this coin ). Emmett 870.3. K&G 32.83. Extremely rare for this regnal. Minor roughness and the reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, nearly very fine.
