EGYPT. Alexandria. Hadrian, 117-138. Tetradrachm (Billon, 25 mm, 13.45 g, 12 h), RY 2 = 117/8. [ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙϹ] ΤΡΑΙΝΟϹ (sic!) ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ Laureate head of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. L B Nilus reclining left, holding cornucopiae in his right hand and reed in his left; below, hippopotamus to right. Dattari (Savio) 1441 = RPC III online 5004.3 ( this coin ). Emmett 878.2. K&G 32.30. Extremely rare. Minor flan faults, otherwise, nearly very fine.
