Description

PHOENICIA. Tripolis. Hadrian, 117-138. Diassarion (Bronze, 25 mm, 9.99 g, 12 h), CY 428 = 117. [ΑΥΤΟΚΡ] ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ΤΡΑΙΑΝΟϹ [ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ] Laureate head of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. ΤΡΙΠΟΛЄΙΤⲰΝ ΗΚΥ Jugate and draped busts of the Dioskouroi to right, wearing laureate piloi surmounted by stars. BMC 48. Rouvier 1695. RPC III 3829. Some deposits, otherwise, about very fine.
