★ A very rare drachm of Sabina from Amsisus ★

PONTUS. Amisus. Sabina, Augusta, 128-136/7. Drachm (Silver, 21 mm, 3.11 g, 7 h), CY 166 = 134/5. ϹΑΒΕΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ Diademed and draped bust of Sabina to right. Rev. ΑΜΙϹΟΥ ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΑϹ ΕΤΟΥϹ ΡΞζ Hermes standing front, head to left, holding purse in his right hand and kerykeion in his left. RG 100. RPC III online 1273.3 ( this coin ). Very rare. Somewhat porous and with some edge cracks, otherwise, about very fine.
