LYDIA. Apollonis. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Diassarion (Orichalcum, 26 mm, 7.49 g, 1 h), late 1st-early 2nd centuries AD. ΘΕΟΝ ϹΥΝΚΛΗΤΟΝ Draped bust of the Roman Senate to right; on neck, countermark: bee within oval incuse. Rev. ΑΠΟΛΛΩΝΙΔΕΩN Eagle with spread wings standing front on bone, head to left. BMC 5. GRPC Lydia 24. RPC II 953. SNG Copenhagen 24. For countermark, Howgego 364. Minor weakness on the reverse from countermarking, otherwise, very fine.
