MOESIA INFERIOR. Nicopolis ad Istrum (?). Pseudo-autonomous issue. Tessera (Bronze, 12 mm, 0.91 g, 12 h), 1st-3rd centuries AD. Rider on horseback to right, holding spear in his left hand, cloak billowing behind. Rev. Crescent; above, three stars. Naumann E-Auction 94 (2020), 254. Rauch E-Auction 11 (2012), 720. Rare and of beautiful style. Pierced, otherwise, very fine.
