HUNNIC TRIBES, Western Turks. Zabulistan. Pangul, circa 700-730. Hemidrachm (Bronze, 23 mm, 2.24 g, 8 h). πανογολο χοδδηο βαyo ('Pangul, the Lord, King' in Baktrian) Two opposing Senmurv protomes; above, tamgha. Rev. αδονο ταρχανο βαγδδιγγο ναροβιδο ('Tudun, Tarkhan of Balkh, the Commander' in Baktrian) Large tamgha in center. Göbl 245. Vondrovec, Type 245. An unusually complete example. Patina stripped and with minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
