EARLY SKYTHIANS, Imitating Eukratides I of Baktria. Late 2nd century BC. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 2.92 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in Baktria. Diademed and draped bust of Eukratides to right, wearing Macedonian helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear. Rev. BΑΣIΛEΩΣ MEΓAΛOΥ / EΥKΙATIΛOΥ The Dioskouri galloping to right, each holding spear and palm frond; to lower right, HP (?). HGC 12, 152. Senior A19.1D var. (differing control). Struck from worn dies and with some scratches, otherwise, about very fine.
