LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 330-290 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.77 g, 2 h), Atha..., magistrate. Head of Demeter to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to left; to left above leaf, pair of tongs; below leaf, [ΑΘΑ]. HN Italy 1583. Johnston Group C, 4.3. Harshly cleaned and with some flan faults on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
