LUCANIA. Herakleia. Circa 340-330 BC. Diobol (Silver, 14 mm, 1.05 g, 8 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with Skylla hurling a stone. Rev. Herakles standing front, holding club in his right hand and bow and arrow in his left, lion's skin draped over left arm; to left, Nike flying right and crowning Herakles; to left, EY; to right, Σ. HN Italy 1381. SNG ANS 70. Van Keuren 78. Harshly cleaned and corroded, otherwise, good very fine.
