RUSSIA, Tsars of Russia. Aleksandr II Nikolaevich, 1855-1881. 25 Roubles 1876 (Copper, 46x46 mm, 66.99 g), uniface klippe of the reverse, Sankt Petersburg. Value, year and mintmark. Rev. Blank. Cf. Bitkin 565. Cf. Fr. 162. Cf. Severin 501. Cf. Uzd. 4210. Extremely rare and of great interest. Virtually as struck.

The extremely rare gold 25 roubles with a mintage of just 100 pieces were struck for the 30th birthday of the Tsar's fourth son, Vladimir. This is a uniface test strike from the reverse die.
