Anastasius I, 491-518. Semissis (Gold, 19 mm, 2.25 g, 6 h), Constantinopolis, circa 492-507. D N ANASTASIVS P P AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Anastasius I to right. Rev. VICTORIA AVGGG / CONOB Victory seated right on arms, inscribing shield set on knee; to left, star; to right, staurogram. DOC 8. MIBE 9. SB 6. Slightly bent flan and with minor areas of weakness, otherwise, extremely fine.
