Description

Licinius I, 308-324. Follis (Bronze, 19 mm, 3.54 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 320. IMP L-ICINIVS AVG Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Licinius I to right. Rev. VOT / XV FEL / XX R P in three lines within wreath. Bikić-Do 8:43. RIC 221. Very rare. Minor deposits and the obverse somewhat brushed, otherwise, nearly very fine.

This is one of seven examples known from officina P, of which five are in private hands, four of which in the Ramskold Collection. A total of 14 examples of RIC 221 are now known, RIC listing only two.
