Description

Constantine I, 307/310-337. Follis (Bronze, 19 mm, 3.47 g, 12 h), Rome, circa 320. CONST-ANTINVS AVG Laureate, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantine I to right, the helmet decorated with two stars. Rev. VOT / XV • FEL / XX R P in three lines within wreath. RIC 219. Very rare. Some deposits and minor marks, otherwise, nearly very fine.

From the collection of Dr. L. Ramskold, formed since 1969.

This very rare coin is one of five examples in private hands, two of which are in the Ramskold Collection.
