Description

Licinius I, 308-324. Follis (Bronze, 19 mm, 2.55 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 320. IMP LI-CINIVS AVG Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Licinius I to right. Rev. VOT X / ET XV F / R S in three lines within wreath. Bikić-Do pl. IX, 40. RIC -. Extremely rare. Somewhat rough and slightly tooled, otherwise, about very fine.

From the collection of Dr. L. Ramskold, formed since 1969.

This type was not listed in RIC, but now nine coins are known. Of the six examples in private hands, five are in the Ramskold Collection.
