Constantine I, 307/310-337. Follis (Bronze, 19 mm, 3.06 g, 12 h), Rome, circa 320. CO-NSTAN-TINVS AVG Helmeted, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantine I to left, seen from behind, holding spear in his right hand and shield with his left. Rev. VIRTV-S AVGG / P - R / R S Campgate with no doors and four turrets. RIC -. Apparently unique. Slightly rough and with light deposits, otherwise, about extremely fine.

From the collection of Dr. L. Ramskold, formed since 1969.

Six examples are known for this type, all in private collections: this one from officina S and five from officina Q. All but two examples from officina Q are in the Ramskold Collection.
