Description

Constantine I, 307/310-337. Follis (Silvered bronze, 20 mm, 3.47 g, 12 h), Rome, circa 320. CONST-ANTINVS AVG Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantine I to right. Rev. VIRTV-S AVGG / P - R / R Q Campgate with no doors and four turrets. RIC 184. Very rare with this decorated and highly plumed helmet. This coin was struck from the same pair of dies as lot 3104 below. Good very fine.

This coin was struck from the same pair of dies as lot 3103 above. Both coins are among the six known examples from officina Q, four of which are in the Ramskold Collection.
