Description

Constantius II, 337-361. Light Miliarense (Silver, 23 mm, 4.16 g, 12 h), Siscia, 337-340. CONSTANTI-VS P F AVG Laurel-and-rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantius II to right. Rev. GAVDIVM POPVLI ROMANI; in four lines within laurel wreath, SIC / X / SIC / XX; in exergue, SIS(pellet over crescent). Leu 86 (2003), 993. RIC -. RSC -. Extremely rare, apparently the second known example. Some horn silver and with a thin flan crack and minor traces of corrosion, otherwise, good very fine.
