★ Virtually as struck ★

Octavian, 44-27 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.76 g, 11 h), uncertain Italian mint (Rome?), autumn 30. Victory standing right on prow, holding wreath in her right hand and palm frond in her left. Rev. [IMP•]CAES[AR] Octavian standing in ornamented slow quadriga to right, holding branch in his right hand and reins in his left. BMC 617. Cohen 115. CRI 416. RIC 264. Lustrous and fresh. Small flan fault on the obverse and the reverse struck off center, otherwise, virtually as struck.
