Octavian, 44-27 BC. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.84 g, 9 h), Rome, autumn 32-summer 31. Diademed head of Venus to right, wearing pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. CAESAR DIVI•F Octavian, in military attire, standing front, head to left, extending his right hand and holding inverted spear in his left. BMC 609. Cohen 70. RIC 251. Lustrous and fresh. Light cleaning scratches on the reverse, otherwise, virtually as struck.
