ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΜΑΡ ΑΥΡ ϹЄ ΑΛЄΞΑΝΔΡΟϹ ϹЄ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander to right, seen from behind. Rev. ΘЄΑϹ ϹΥΡΙΑϹ ΙЄΡΟΠΟΛΙΤΩΝ Atargatis seated facing on lion walking right, her head turned to right, holding scepter with her right hand and tympanon in her left. Butcher 60a. RPC VI online 8128. A beautiful piece with an exceptionally sharp and attractive portrait. Patina stripped and retoned, otherwise, extremely fine.
