MACEDON. Koinon of Macedon. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Triassarion (Bronze, 28 mm, 11.82 g, 7 h), Beroea, time of Gordian III, 238-244. ΑΛЄΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Diademed head of Alexander 'the Great' to right. Rev. ΚΟΙΝΟΝ ΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΩΝ Β ΝЄ Alexander 'the Great' standing front, head to right, holding spear in his right hand and parazonium in his left. AMNG III/1, 666. RPC VII.2 online 162.10 ( this coin ). Attractive light green patina. Light cleaning scratches on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
