INDIA, Kushan Empire. Kujula Kadphises, circa 30/50-80. Drachm (Bronze, 18 mm, 3.68 g, 11 h). KOZOΛA KAΔAΦEΣ XOPANEY ZAOOY ('of Kujula Kadphises, Kushan Yavuga' in Greek) Diademed Julio-Claudian-style bust to right. Rev. 'Kujula Kasasa Kushana Yavugasa Dhramathidasa' (of Kujula Kadphises ruler of the Kushans, steadfast in the Law' in Kharoshti) Kujula Kadphises seated facing on curule chair; wearing nomad dress and tall hat, in field to left, tripartite symbol. ANS Kushan 103. Rare and unusually attractive. Areas of weakness and with minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.

Kujula Kadphises is called Yavuga on this coin, which originally was a Chinese title used for chieftains of nomadic tribes.
