LUCANIA. Velia. Circa 340-334 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.29 g, 12 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with a griffin; behind neck guard, Θ. Rev. ΥEΛHTΩN Lion walking to right; below, Θ. HN Italy 1287. Williams 291 (O162/R225). Harshly cleaned and with some roughness, otherwise, about very fine.
