LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 340-330 BC. Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.75 g, 6 h). Head of Demeter to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. ΜΕΤΑ Ear of barley with leaf to right; to left, kerykeion above ΛY. HN Italy 1556. Johnston Class A, 1.1. Harshly cleaned, otherwise, extremely fine.
