CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 332-302 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.21 g, 9 h), Sa... and Kon..., magistrates. Nude youth on horseback to right, crowning himself with a wreath; below, ΣA above Ionic capital. Rev. [ΤΑΡΑΣ] Youthful oikist, nude, riding dolphin to left, holding coiled serpent in his right hand and whip in his left; below, KON. Fischer-Bossert 957 (V373/R737). HN Italy 942. Harshly cleaned and retoned, otherwise, extremely fine.
