NORTHWEST GAUL. Carnutes. 1st century BC. 1/8 Stater (Gold, 9 mm, 0.92 g, 6 h), 'à l'aigle' type. Celticized head of Apollo to right. Rev. Eagle with spread wings standing left; to left, uncertain object. DT S 2568 B. LT -. Very rare and with a lovely reverse. Struck from worn dies, otherwise, very fine.
