CAMPANIA. Hyria. Circa 405-400 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.09 g, 2 h). Head of Athena to left, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with an owl standing left, head facing, on an olive-wreath. Rev. YDINAI Man-headed bull walking slowly to left. HN Italy 539. Jameson 40 ( same dies ). Rutter 88e ( this coin ). SNG ANS 263 ( same obverse die ). SNG Ashmolean 66 ( same dies ). A beautifully toned and very well pedigreed example with a particularly lovely reverse. Light scratches and the obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, good very fine.
