Description

ISLAMIC, Caucasus (Pre-Seljuq). Volga-Bulgarians. Mika'il ibn Ja'far, mid AH 4th / AD 10th century. Dirham (Silver, 584 mm, 3.31 g), imitating a Samanid dirham, blundered mint, blundered date. Album P1481. Rare. Struck from worn dies and with minor corrosion, otherwise, about very fine.

From the collection of Dr. D. Löer, formed since the 1970s, privately acquired from Stephen Album Rare Coins (with original dealer’s ticket).
