Description
ISLAMIC, 'Abbasid Caliphate. al-Rashid, AH 170-193 / AD 786-809. Dirham (Silver, 24 mm, 2.89 g), citing the heir apparent al-Amin, the governor Muhammad ibn Yahya and the vizier Ja'far ibn Yahya Barmaki, al-Rayy, AH 179 = AD 795/6. SICA III, 786. Rare. A few scrapes on the reverse and with some nicks, otherwise, good very fine.
