Elagabalus, 218-222. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 2.70 g, 12 h), Rome, 221. IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG Laureate and draped bust of Elagabalus to right, wearing 'horn' over forehead. Rev. P M TR P IIII COS III P P Elagabalus standing front, head to left, holding patera in his right hand and branch in his left; to left, lighted and garlanded altar; to left and right, standard; in field to left, eight-pointed star. BMC 262. Cohen 204. RIC 51. Thirion 185. Rare and with a very attractive reverse. Very light deposits, otherwise, extremely fine.
