Description

★ Of splendid style ★

PHRYGIA. Sebaste. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Hemiassarion (Bronze, 18 mm, 2.59 g, 6 h), first half of the 2nd century AD. Draped bust of Mên set to right on crescent, wearing Phrygian cap. Rev. CЄBACTHNΩN Hygieia standing front, head to left, feeding serpent from patera to right. BMC 8-9. RPC III 2602. SNG Leypold 1728. A beautiful piece of splendid style with attractive earthen highlights. Light scratches, otherwise, good very fine.

From the collection of G. Plankenhorn, formed since the 1960s (with collector's ticket).
