PHRYGIA. Laodicea ad Lycum, circa 133/88-67 BC. Cistophorus (Silver, 27 mm, 12.31 g, 12 h), Aphobetos, son of Philip, magistrate. Cista mystica from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; to left, ΛAO; above, AΦOBHTOΣ / ΦIΛIΠΠOY; to right, winged kerykeion. BMC 5. SNG Copenhagen -. SNG Tübingen 4123. SNG von Aulock -. Some deposits on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
