PHRYGIA. Hadrianopolis-Sebaste. Philip I, 244-249. Diassarion (Bronze, 25 mm, 7.39 g, 6 h), Roufos, archon. ΑΥ Κ Μ ΙΟΥΛΙ ΦΙΛΙΠΟϹ (sic!) Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip I to right, seen from behind. Rev. ЄΠΙ Χ ΡΟΥΦΟΥ / ΑΔΡΙΑ/ΝΟ The river-god Karneios reclining left, holding cornucopiae in his right hand and reed in his left and leaning left on urn from which water flows. BMC 11. RPC VIII online ID 20698.8 ( this coin ). SNG Leypold 1557. Very fine.
