SASANIAN KINGS. Bahram V, 420-438. Pashiz (Bronze, 13 mm, 1.49 g, 12 h). Draped bust of Bahram V to right, wearing elaborate crown with frontal crescent and korymbos set on crescent; before head, pellet-in-crescent with two flowing ribbons with pellet below. Rev. Fire altar flanked by two attendants. SNS III, pl. 67, 77. Extremely rare. The reverse struck from a somewhat worn die and with cleaning scratches, otherwise, very fine.
