INDO-SKYTHIANS. Azilizes, circa 85-45/35 BC. AE (Bronze, 20 mm, 2.79 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in Paropamisadai or western Gandhara. [ΒΑΣΙ]ΛΕΩΣ [ΒΑ]ΣΙΛΕΩΝ ΜΕ[ΓΑΛΟΥ / ΑΖΙΛΙΣΟΥ] King on horseback to right, holding spear in both hands. Rev. 'Maharajasa rajarajasa mahatasa Ayalishasa' ('of the Great King, King of Kings, Azilizes' in Karoshti) Herakles seated to left on rock, holding club in his right hand and placing his left on rock set on ground; to his left, monograms.
