SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos VII Euergetes (Sidetes), 138-129 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 14.05 g, 12 h), Phoenician standard, Tyre, SE 177 = 136/5. Diademed and draped bust of Antiochos VII to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Eagle with closed wings standing left on prow, palm frond behind; to left, club surmounted by monogram; above club, A/PE; to right, monogram above ZΟΡ (date); between the eagle's legs, monogram. SC 2109.5a. Fresh and with an exceptionally attractive reverse. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die, otherwise, good extremely fine.
