ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.84 g, 12 h), Dionysi..., Dionysi... and Zeuxi..., magistrates, 119/8. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos and long tendril on the bowl, and with the foreparts of four horses above the visor. Rev. Α-ΘΕ / ΔΙΟ-ΝΥΣ / ΔΙΟ/ΝΙΣΙ / ΖΕΥ/ΞΙ Owl standing facing on amphora; to right, Helios in quadriga; on amphora, Ζ; below, ΔΙ; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 564c. Nicely toned. Minor scrape on the obverse and the reverse double struck, otherwise, good very fine.
