ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΩΝ Head of Persephone to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, single-pendant earring and pearl necklace; behind her neck, grain ear. Rev. ΕΠΙ ΙΚΕΤ[Α] Nike driving biga galloping to right, holding kentron in her right hand and reins in her left; above, star; below horses, thunderbolt. Buttrey, Morgantina 1-A. HGC 2, 1277. McClean 2863. SNG Oxford 2097. A lovely piece of excellent style. Light deposits on the obverse and with minor doubling on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
