★ Lustrous and unusually well struck on a broad flan ★

Justin II, 565-578. Solidus (Gold, 22 mm, 4.48 g, 6 h), Constantinopolis, 567-578. D N IVSTINVS P P AVG Helmeted, diademed and cuirassed bust of Justin II facing, holding Victory on globe in his right hand and with a shield, decorated with a horseman, over his left shoulder. Rev. VICTORIA AVGGG I / CONOB Constantinopolis seated facing on throne, head to right, holding long scepter in her right hand and globus cruciger in her left. DOC 4i. MIBE 5. SB 345. Lustrous and unusually well struck on a broad flan. Light die rust on the obverse, otherwise, virtually as struck.
