Pub. Crepusius, 82 BC. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.79 g, 7 h), Rome. Laureate head of Apollo with scepter over shoulder to right; behind, B; to right, palm frond. Rev. P•CREPVSI Horseman galloping right, hurling spear with his right hand; to upper left, CCCCLXXVII. Babelon (Crepusia) 1. Crawford 361/1c. RBW 1369 var. (differing controls). Sydenham 738a. Light scratches on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.

From an American collection of Roman Republican and Imperatorial coins, privately acquired from Freeman & Sear (with original dealer's ticket).
