C. Censorinus, 88 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.64 g, 6 h), Rome. Jugate heads of Numa Pompilius, bearded, and Ancus Marcius, beardless, to right. Rev. C•CENSO Desultor, wearing conical cap and holding whip in his right hand, on horseback to right; behind, horse without rider; below, horses, two storks. Babelon (Marcia) 18. Crawford 346/1b. RBW 1316 var. (differing control symbol). Sydenham 713. Some marks, otherwise, good fine.

From an American collection of Roman Republican and Imperatorial coins, acquired from Calicó (with collector's ticket).
