Q. Thermus M.f, 103 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.82 g, 6 h), Rome. Head of Mars to left, wearing crested helmet decorated with two volutes and a plume. Rev. Q• THE RM• MF Two warriors fighting, each armed with sword and shield; the one on the left protects a fallen comrade, the other wears horned helmet. Babelon (Minucia) 19. Crawford 319/1. RBW 1174. Sydenham 592. Minor deposits and with light scratches, otherwise, very fine.

From an American collection of Roman Republican and Imperatorial coins, ex Negrini 33, 1 June 2011, 307 (with original ticket).
