Description

Q. Lutatius Cerco, 206-200 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 4.30 g, 7 h), uncertain mint. Head of Roma to right, wearing crested and winged helmet; behind, X (mark of value). Rev. ROMA The Dioscuri, each holding spear, on horseback galloping right; above their heads, two stars; below, QLC. Babelon (Lutatia) 1. Crawford 125/1. RBW 576. Sydenham 274. Somewhat porous and with scratches on the reverse, otherwise, about very fine.

From an American collection of Roman Republican and Imperatorial coins, acquired from M. Hervera (with collector's ticket).
